Cheam High Girls Win Young Enterprise Competition

A team of girls from Cheam High School have won through the first stage in the National Young Enterprise Competition. The Team called LUCK have set up a business to promote fashion events.

Local MP, Paul Burstow, was asked by the local Chamber of Commerce to judge the entries in the local heat of the Young Enterprise Competition. Teams from Merton College, Wimbledon School, Sutton High School, Wallington High School for Girls were competing for places in the sub-regional stage of the competition. Cheam High won a place for having the best stand. Other winners included a team from Wimbledon for an innovative service called 'Ladies in waiting' and Merton College for tenacious selling of a college magazine.

Paul Burstow MP said, "All of the teams have been working hard and it was tough choosing just three winners. I was impressed by the business acumen on display. There were some budding entrepreneurs of the future taking part."
