Local MP, Paul Burstow, has welcomed the news that after a period of uncertainty the new catering contract for Nonsuch Mansion has been signed.
Nonsuch Park had been the subject of a costly take-over bid by Surrey County Council. Mr Burstow had worked closely with local residents and the Friends of Nonsuch to oppose Surrey's interference.
Commenting, Paul Burstow MP, said:
"This is good news for the Park and Mansion. In the current economic climate it is a vote of confidence in the future of the Park that the contractor has signed up.
"I hope this will pave the way for some much needed investment in the Mansion."
