Sutton is the home of a multi-million pound subsea engineering business in the oil and gas industry. Sutton and Cheam MP, Paul Burstow, met up with senior executives from the company recently as part of his routine programme of constituency outreach.
Subsea 7's office in Quadrant House, Sutton is part of a global network of locations from which the company delivers it's world leading subsea engineering and construction services. It supports oil and gas development and maintenance operations in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Africa and Asia Pacific.
Paul Burstow MP, said: "It may come as a surprise that Sutton is host to one of the world's major underwater and robotics engineering businesses. But it is just another example of companies choosing Sutton as a good location to do business from, with easy access to central London and links to the global community via Gatwick and Heathrow."
Paul Rosier, General Manager, Subsea 7, Sutton, established the office two years ago. "South west London has a thriving subsea and offshore sector with a very experienced engineering resource pool. Our Sutton office provides engineering expertise in support of Subsea 7's global operations and our ambitious growth strategy for the future."
