Paul Burstow, MP for Sutton and Cheam, met local traders on Stonecot Hill last Friday (19th October) to discuss their concerns about parking problems in the area.
Mr Burstow met with traders to discuss their efforts to secure a consultation on the use of red route restrictions which prevent shoppers from parking on Stonecot Hill. The Traders have already collected over 2,000 signatures on a petition calling for the consultation. Mr Burstow has written to Transport for London to seek information on the possibility of a consultation.
Speaking after the meeting, Paul Burstow MP said:
"Residents and traders on Stonecot Hill are not asking for much.
"They just want a public consultation to establish whether these parking restrictions are really necessary
"I support their efforts to find a solution to this difficult issue."
