Burstow visits 'Clusters' for Make a Difference Day

October 30, 2006 2:08 PM

Paul Burstow, MP for Sutton and Cheam, visited 'Clusters' a club for disabled adults based at Holmwood Hall in Wallington on Wednesday 25th October as part of Make a Difference Day.

A voluntary organisation, Clusters has been offering support to disabled adults for 3 years. It is a club for adults with all types of disability to meet for lunch and to socialise. Aside from providing a social network, the club gives people the chance to join in with a range of activities including arts and crafts and board games.

Mr Burstow visited Clusters as part of Community Service Volunteers (CSV) Make a Difference day. Make a Difference day asks people to give up their time, not their money, by taking part in activities at voluntary organisations within their community.

Commenting after the visit, Paul Burstow MP said:

"Clusters provides a great opportunity for disabled adults from across Sutton to get together, socialise and take part in fun activities."

"I'm glad to have been able to meet some of the members and to thank the volunteers who keep the club going."

If you are a resident of the Sutton and Cheam constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
