October 15, 2004 1:28 PM

Paul Burstow MP will be addressing local carers as part of National Black History Month celebrations this Sunday at Granfers Hall, Sutton. Sutton Carers Centre, Kingston Carers Network and Richmond Carers Centre are working to promote and deliver a significant event with and for up to 200 black and minority ethnic carers. The event will be open to all Carers regardless of ethnic origin and background living and or and working in the London Boroughs of Kingston, Richmond, Sutton, Merton and Lewisham.

The event will provide an opportunity for Carers and professionals working with Carers to network, as well as exchange information, views and good practice. In addition the day will include a range of informal seminars, panel discussions, workshops, therapy sessions, health checks, an Asian lunch, as well as an evening of music and dance.

Free therapies for Carers including massage, reflexology, yoga as well as African hair plaiting can be booked by leaving a message for Sophie on 020-8547-1614.

If you are a resident of the Sutton and Cheam constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
