NICE Report on Mental Health: Further Evidence of Under Resourced and Undervalued Service

Liberal Democrats pointed to today's report from NICE on the inadequate treatment of people who self-harm as further evidence of the "under resourced and undervalued" state of NHS mental health services.

Paul Burstow MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary, said:

"It's shocking that so many people with mental health problems are not getting the treatment they need.

"This report is further evidence of an under resourced and undervalued service.

"The Government's efforts on mental health are all talk and little action and it's those with mental health problems who suffer."
